Με αφορμή τη χθεσινή έκπληξη το μυαλό μας ακόμη ταξιδεύει στην πόλη που ποτέ δεν κοιμάται!
Ας ντύσουμε λοιπόν μουσικά τις έστω και νοητές περιπλανήσεις μας με το αγαπημένο αυτό κομμάτι, το οποίο ίσως είναι και το γνωστότερο τραγούδι που έχει ποτέ συνδεθεί με κάποια πόλη..
Το "New York, New York", σε σύνθεση του John Kander και στίχους του Fred Ebb, δημιουργήθηκε το 1977 ως το μουσικό θέμα της ομώνυμης ταινίας του Martin Scorsese. Ερμηνεύτρια σε αυτή την πρώτη του εκτέλεση ήταν η Liza Minnelli. Βέβαια, η πιο γνωστή εκδοχή του είναι αυτή με ερμηνευτή τον Frank Sinatra, η οποία ηχογραφήθηκε δύο χρόνια αργότερα για να το συμπεριληφθεί στο τριπλό άλμπουμ του με τίτλο "Trilogy: Past, Present, Future" που κυκλοφόρησε το 1980.
