To "Hold Back the River" του 25χρονου Βρετανού τραγουδιστή, τραγουδοποιού και κιθαρίστα James Βay κυκλοφόρησε στο Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο τον Νοέμβριο του 2014 ως το δεύτερο single στο ντεμπούτο στούντιο άλμπουμ του με τίτλο "Chaos and the Calm" και κατάφερε να φτάσει στη δεύτερη θέση του UK Singles Chart. Λίγους μήνες νωρίτερα είχε κυκλοφορήσει το πρώτο single του άλμπουμ με τίτλο "Let it Go", ενώ το άλμπουμ κυκλοφόρησε στις 23 Μαρτίου του 2015.
